FABRICATION

A Poly Pocket–inspired iPad case designed as the final project for “Digital Fabrication” (Fall 2024) at NYU Shanghai. The project integrates multiple fabrication techniques learned throughout the course, combining 3D modeling and laser cutting into a functional, modular object.
Instructor: Andy Garcia
Mentor: Dalin Zhang
Materials: 3D-print filament, laser-cut acrylic, magnetic strips
A 3D-printed lamp designed through 3D modeling in Rhino 3D for "Digital Fabrication" (Fall 2024) at NYU Shanghai.
Instructor: Andy Garcia
Mentor: Dalin Zhang
Materials: 3D-print filament, integrated LED lighting

Laser Cut Module
A laser-cut modular object created as the first assignment for “Digital Fabrication” (Fall 2024) at NYU Shanghai. Designed using Rhino 3D, the project explores how repetitive 2D components can be assembled into three-dimensional forms through modular construction.
Instructor: Andy Garcia
Mentor: Dalin Zhang
Materials: Laser-cut plywood (3mm)

CNC Small Creation
A CNC-fabricated toy truck created as part of “Digital Fabrication” (Fall 2024) at NYU Shanghai. Modeled in Rhino 3D through iterative prototyping, the project translates 2D CNC-cut components into a three-dimensional object while exploring basic woodworking techniques and machine fabrication processes.
Instructor: Andy Garcia
Mentor: Dalin Zhang
Materials: CNC-cut wood, wooden rods
